Dessert and More Dessert

After all that hiking, Phyllis rebalanced our eloctrolytes in the form of homemade cookies, cake and white wine. We NEVER eat sugar or drink wine during the day but we didn't want to appear rude so we ate a lot at her home and then brought the rest back to our casita. Dinner followed at Harry's Roadhouse. A good time (and more dessert) was had by all. I personally recommend the Red Chili Meringue Chocolate Mousse pie. Followed by something chocolate.

Darn I missed the hiking!

While Mark was suffering from estrogen overload hiking with the sistuhs, I ate drank and shopped my way through the Plaza. While they drank water, I drank adult libations. While they climbed tall ladders, I sauntered through fabulous boutiques. While they ate crappy snackbar food, I ate fine Santa Fe cuisine. What a great day...for me!

Save Mark!

After another round of hiking (Bandolier National Monument) we stopped for a snack with our wonderful friend and unofficial tour guide, Mark. After listening to our inane commentary, carrying the water bottles and keeping us off the edge of the cliffs (because it's hard for the Hillsisters to talk and watch where they're going at the same time) Mark definitely needed a break. Check out his expression - does Mark look tired of us yet? The saddest part - Mark has 4 more days of Girlyvacation. Maybe we should start a Save Mark from the Girlyvacation Fund. Send your contributions to one of the sisters, and we will be sure to pass it along!

Iron Women

Bandelier: We wore our hats (no NOT those red hats old ladies wear), our sunscreen and then flexed our mighty muscles to climb all over Tsankawi (Google it yourselves). We walked in the footsteps of some extremely tiny ancient people. How tiny? Joan would be an XXL in their society. Views were indescribable - just look at the pictures. The hike was a challenge and after viewing our pictures, Mary Ann was damn glad she went shopping instead.
